Hello Everyone,

Time has gotten away from me lately. Life sometimes is that way and I have been trying to catch my breath and separate myself from the drama of my life these last few months. Now it is quieter and I have time to think.

I went outside in the quiet of the night tonight. The grass had been freshly cut, something that had not been done for quite a while. We had weeds that looked like small trees! But finally we have a new gardener and it is as if I have emerged from a jungle into a beautiful meadow.

I wheeled outside my door looked at the grass and the shadow of the trees and smiled. Then I turned my head and looked up in the night sky to see a moon that is almost full.
I have always felt connected to the moon and now I know why. It illuminates the darkness, moves in a noticeable cycle and renews itself over and over again. I thanked G-d for protecting me and healing me through difficult times with happy tears.

I recently got back in touch with one of my mom’s friends who knew me as a teen. He told me I am like the moon, that [I] “see what is unseen, what is hidden”. I think a big part of my mission in life is to help people by shining light in those dark places when appropriate and to appreciate the light in whatever way it comes either by the hidden light of the moon or the clear radiance of the sun.
